Headaches, Migraines, Headache, MigraineA study published in Neurology magazine suggests that the size of a person’s brain has a correlation to a person who experiences migraines will become depressed or not. Apparently, the smaller a person’s brain, the more likely they are to have to fight migraines and depression together.

More than just one study has come up with these same finding s in recent years. In fact, Radiology magazine reported on the fact that smaller brains have less tissue on the pain processing portion. This supposedly causes more intense pain.

JAMA also reported another study in 2012 that showed women are more likely to have brain legions if they suffer migraines. These are just a few of the many studies that have been performed involving this common condition that afflicts millions globally.

Is there anything that can be done to combat migraines and the depression and legions that seem to accompany them? While mediation serves only to cover up the pain, there is a better option that gets to the root of the matter.

What Upper Cervical Chiropractic Offers

In New York, upper cervical chiropractors were able to use an upright MRI to show how an upper cervical misalignment can block proper flow of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). This is a huge breakthrough in understanding neurological conditions like migraines. It means that correcting the misalignment can resort proper CSF flow and neurological function.

At Precision Chiropractic West, we use the Atlas Orthogonal technique to diagnose and correct such misalignments. Properly aligning the atlas can reduce intracranial pressure by up to 28.6% simply by restoring proper CSF flow.

If you experience migraines, a consultation and examination can allow you to discover if upper cervical chiropractic is the right solution for you.
