Headaches Remain a Mystery in the Medical Community
While the medical community remains baffled as to why headaches occur, the chiropractic community understands that there is often a connection between headaches and a misalignment in the upper neck. However, medical doctors rarely refer their patients to chiropractors for care. The Merritt Herald stated that chiropractic remains a foreign field to those in the medical practice.
Another doctor, Dr. Rothbart shared his thoughts about headaches. He said that very smart people have put much time and research into the problem of headaches and have not come up with any helpful answers. He says that treating patients with a variety of medications and hoping the side effects aren’t too harmful is the main approach used. He also notes that there is a scientific explanation for how the neck structure is related to headaches, which chiropractors have known all along. But medical doctors continue to have a tainted view of chiropractic care.
